EVAN STROUD

Neil Young - Don't Let It Bring You Down

Evan Stroud is the prisoner of a strange disease that forces him to live in darkness. While the town of Tuonela slumbers, he roams the streets. His walks often take him out of the valley to a small park. If you were to drive by this lookout point, you might find Stroud gazing across the river.

What an amazingly creepy place. I hope to never stumble into it by mistake...

A reminder that beauty often hides horrors beyond imagination.

I think it would be a creepy place to be alone at night.

Here's what I'm thinking... Evan Stroud is Everyman, looking into that dark glass, hoping to see clearly. The light is across the murk of the primordial river, so close but so far. Evans are all around us, suffering from their own diseases. The question? Can he swim? Will he? Anne Frasier - thriller writer and cult philospher — we're only beginning to know you

jeff -- or it could be comforting. you never know. ;)

crob -- wow. thank you!! there are so many underlying themes in this book that have little to do with what's happening on the surface. but i didn't know if that was all in my head rather than on the page -- or under the page.

I like how this is building like a twisted family album. It's breathing life in the world we'll be soon visiting.
